Driving controls

Moving in straight lines with Crab Motion

Use crab motion to move in a straight line in any direction.

  1. Select a value for the crab motion angle
  2. Select a positive or negative throttle value to determine whether the rover moves forwards or backwards
  3. Click send.
  • when a crab motion value is selected, spot turn will be automatically set to Off
  • set 0° to move straight ahead or straight backwards.

Use spot turning to turn the rover right or left on the spot.

  1. Select spot turn ‘On’
  2. Select a positive or negative throttle value to
  3. determine the direction of rotation
  4. Click send.
  • when a spot turn is set to On, crab motion will be automatically be set to zero.
